Why not swap that sugar with Splenda? Plus a Twitter Party! #SweetSwaps

This post is part of the SPLENDA® 365 SWEET SWAPS ™ blogger program by McNeil Nutritionals, LLC. and The Motherhood, who sent me products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are my own, and I hope you enjoy them.

Every day, I use a little bit of sugar here and a little bit of sugar there. In the morning, I have a cup of hot tea and I add a bit of sugar. For breakfast, I may eat some corn flakes with a little sugar sprinkled on top or have a blueberry muffin that I baked that called for sugar in the recipe. Later in the day, I might have a glass of sweet tea made with sugar or eat a dessert for dinner that was made with sugar or even brown sugar. Even though it may seem small, all of that sugar really does add up.

Can you imagine just what might happen if you swapped out all of that sugar for something just as tasty and so much better for you? You can do that with Splenda. Making these small healthy lifestyle changes can lead to big results. Just about anywhere that you use sugar, you’ll love SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener! The SPLENDA® Brand is dishing out 365 ways to swap sugar for SPLENDA® Sweetener Products.

The experts recommend that women consume no more than 6 teaspoons of added sugar a day, yet the average American eats 22 teaspoons daily! The majority of us vastly underestimate the amount of sugar we eat because it is hiding in some of our favorite foods and drinks, like vanilla lattes, fruit flavored yogurt, salad dressing and cereal. Once we can realize where the sugar is hiding, we can come up with ways to eliminate the excess sugar from our diets!

  42. I can totally relate to the amount of sugar I find myself using throughout the day, even though they are small amounts at each time. To add to that, I have a blood sugar issue and have to watch my sugar intake while still making sure I get complex sugars in my diet. I have used Splenda a few times, and it's most helpful for me when I use it in my coffee; and I drink a lot of coffee!
