A bride-to-be has a lot of responsibilities to take care of before her wedding day. For one, she needs to choose the flowers that she wants for the wedding ceremony. This includes the flowers that decorate the church as well as the flowers in her bouquet. Many brides-to-be have some idea of what they want ahead of time while others go with flowers that suit the season. Take a look at just a few of the responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of a bride-to-be.

Choosing a wedding gown can be one of the more pleasant tasks of a bride-to-be. Many women visit a bridal shop with their mother or some friends so they can have another person's opinion. When it comes to wedding dresses, there are so many styles and designs that making a decision can be tough for a bride-to-be. She may want one in a traditional style that matches the one that her mother or grandmother wore years ago. Or, she may want one that is more modern-looking made by a famous designer. Either way, a bride-to-be should always go with her own personal preferences.
Another responsibility of a bride-to-be is to choose the dresses for her bridesmaids. Some women like to choose the colors and the styles of the dresses for the bridesmaids. Other women allow their bridesmaids to have a say in what they will wear during the ceremony. There are many brides who like to see a line of bridesmaids who are wearing a different version of the same dress. If a bride-to-be searches for bridesmaid gowns several months of ahead of time, she should be able to purchase them right away. Another option is to participate in a layaway program and wait until the dresses that she wants arrive at the shop.
Finally, a simple responsibility of the bride-to-be is to purchase gifts for her bridesmaids. Sometimes a bride-to-be chooses to get each woman a different gift. Other times she will buy the same gift for every bridesmaid in her party. The gift may be a practical one like a makeup compact or a new hairbrush. Alternatively, some brides-to-be purchase less practical gifts like necklaces, bracelets or earrings. The gift helps a bride-to-be show her appreciation of a friend for her participation in the wedding ceremony. It doesn't have to be a large or expensive gift, just a token from one friend to another.
